J-PARC MLF 2027A Call for General Use Proposals (Short-term and One-year)

The 2027A Call for General Use Proposals (Short-term, and One-year) to use neutron and muon beamlines will be open from October 17 to November 10, 2026, 17:00 Japan Time (UTC+09:00). More details on the call will be available soon on this site.

-- Please note that Non-Proprietary user shall submit "experiment report" within 60 days of the end of each beamtime period.

--Planned beamtime period of 2027A is as below:
Short-term proposals: from April 2027 - June 2027
One-year proposals: from April 2027 - March 2028 (BL11 only)

Planned beam power in 2027A is 700kW.

-- Please make sure to use the latest template file for the research plan. Applications submitted using an outdated template file will not be accepted.

- Applicants must consult with the instrument scientist in advance regarding the sample environments or experimental conditions (especially special sample environments such as magnetic fields), and apply under appropriate conditions.

-- For muon instruments, if applicants intend to bring in equipment other than that provided at the facility, prior consultation with the instrument scientist during the preparation stage is mandatory.

-- In principle, instrument scientists will not conduct experiments on behalf of applicants.
