Submit the Experimental Report

Beamtime Utilization Report

We use this report to confirm the beamtime utilized during your experiment.
Please submit the Beamtime Utilization Report promptly after your experiment has been completed. If the experiment was conducted over multiple sessions, please register the beamtime used for each session.
* Submission is also required for non-proprietary use from the 2024A proposal.

MLF Experimental Report (non-proprietary experiments only)

MLF Experimental Report

Principal Investigators are required to submit the MLF Experimental Report via the J-PARC Result Management System within 60 days after the end of the proposal term. This is mandatory for all non-proprietary experiments. Please note that a beamtime fee will be charged if the report is not submitted by the deadline. Furthermore, if the report is overdue, you will not be permitted to submit future proposals or participate as a co-investigator until the report is submitted.

Experiments conducted in FY2025 (Proposals for 2024B, 2025A, and 2025B rounds) : May 31, 2026 (Sun)

Experiments conducted in 2026A operation period: August 22, 2026 (Sat)

* For one-year proposals, please submit a single experimental report covering both operation periods by the report submission deadline of the latter proposal term.

* For long-term proposals, please submit one experimental report for every two operation periods (one year).

  • The MLF Experimental Report should include a practical description of the experimental methods used at MLF and the results obtained. If possible, please also describe the current status of your data analysis.
  • If the experiment did not produce satisfactory results, please describe the reason(s) for the failure in the report.
  • The report must be written in English. However, reports for proposals submitted to the Industrial Application review category may also be written in Japanese.
  • Please note that submitted reports will be published in the MLF Annual Report and/or on the MLF website.
  • The report template can be downloaded from the “Exp. Report” tab after logging in to the J-PARC Publication Database System.

Please return all borrowed items to the Users Office before you leave J-PARC.

9:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday

Closed on Saturday, Sunday, and Japanese national holidays

Return boxes are located outside the Users Office building near the side entrance, as well as at the entrance to Tokai Dormitory. Please drop any borrowed items here if you are returning them outside office hours.

Items Taken Home

If you forget to return any items, please inform the Users Office, then return the item(s) by mail.
